We’ll admit, the name “Nesting Tables” is a bit misleading as these tables do not nest in the typical sense. The name refers to the production process in which molten glass cylindrical legs are embedded (or “nested”) into holes in the top to form a four leg table made entirely of glass. The texture of the top gives the design a handmade feeling that is atypical for Glas Italia, which usually favors sleek lines and pristine surfaces. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec’s second design for the brand, the Nesting collection is available in transparent, amber or dark green glass. The colors of the top and legs can be mixed and matched, allowing a certain degree of customization.
