As we approach the 4th of July holiday, it's an ideal time to recognize design in America. A landscape full of natural resources is fertile ground for creative exploration. Indigenous woods, organic forms, upholstered silhouettes, and recycled materials offer endless possibilities to create functional objects that shape the future of modern design. This week at SUITE NY, we're delighted to highlight five exceptional pieces from brands based in the United States and Canada. |

POLLOCK TABLES |
Dan Pollock |
Dan Pollock is a woodsman turned artist who lives and works in the San Bernadino National Forest. His Pollock Tables are handmade from start to finish. When creating each table, Pollock prioritizes finding sources for wood that will not require a living tree to be cut down. In describing his creative process, he explains "My sculptures are sometimes for the sake of art and sometimes function, often both. In any case, each sculpture has its own charm and appeal." Each design is one-of-a-kind and hand-carved from reclaimed wood found in the forests of California. |
