The last two years have marked a transformative, unmistakable shift in the way humans function in the workplace, often blurring the lines between the personal and professional, and making the concept of hybrid workspaces more common than ever before. The hybrid workspace prioritizes the way individuals move, operate, and interact, prioritizing a sense of openness and community. And while this idea is certainly appealing in theory, the right furniture is essential to create a work environment that facilitates collaboration and idea-sharing. This week, we’re highlighting five designs to help create a harmonious hybrid workspace.

FRIEND
R&D Glas Italia

Even in an open and communal workspace, a sense of privacy is often desired. This is where Friend’s functionality truly shines. This glass divider screen is equally innovative and practical, a contemporary office solution with style. In order to meet the needs of specific desk arrangements and collaborative work spaces, Friend is available in a range of five useful sizes, as well as an optional document pass-through slot to facilitate a smooth and effective workflow. Easy to clean and sanitize, Friend creates an optimal work environment at shared desks and tables by encouraging conversation and communication, while creating a sense of personal space.

RELY OFFICE
Hee Welling

Simple and comfortable, yet magnificently chic and sophisticated, the Rely office chair is instantly timeless. The shell is made entirely out of 100% recycled plastic, a major feat in sustainable design, and is available in several contemporary colors. Furthermore, the wide range of made-to-order upholstery is available in an extensive array of fabrics, creating opportunities to mix and match exciting color combinations. A perfect companion to make your workday more enjoyable, Rely allows you to introduce style, comfort, ergonomics, and functionality—all exhibiting the quintessential traits of Danish design—to the workspace.

AYNO
Stefen Diez
Much like hybrid workspaces aim to redefine the boundaries of a traditional workplace, Ayno aims to redefine the boundaries of adjustable lighting. The design’s defining feature is a fiberglass rod, which is stretched to the bow by the cable; the inherent tension of the rod allows the lamp to function without any joints—by sliding the two adjustment rings at top and bottom, the fiberglass rod is bent into the desired position and the light is directed wherever illumination is needed. While the physics are relatively simple, the result is extraordinarily innovative.
DEVELIUS
Edward Van Vliet

The modern office environment recognizes that comfort and rest play an essential role in productivity, and create spaces where employees can truly enjoy working. The epitome of modern luxury, Develius features large, plush cushions which provide an opportunity to sprawl out or sit comfortably, whether on a lunch break or simply searching for a more comfortable venue for a virtual meeting. As each workspace requires different considerations, Develius’ modular design allows extensive customization and can be arranged to meet your unique needs.

N.E.T
MA/U Studio

Whether you’re working with colleagues to complete a project, meeting for an impromptu conference, or simply taking a lunch break, the N.E.T. table is here to provide ample space and resources. N.E.T., which stands for Never Ending Table, is a sleek, modern and versatile piece, a flexible design with endless possibilities—a sturdy conference table, a collaborative venue for co-working spaces, or a stylish work desk. The X-shaped legs add dimension and character, defining the design’s unique silhouette. Frame in white or black, tabletop in bleached douglas fir or charcoal stained douglas fir.
