Kicking off with a cocktail reception at SUITE NY's Park Avenue showroom, industry professionals got the opportunity to meet architect Dorte Mandrup, and Marc-Christoph Wagner, the film's co-director. Co-hosted in collaboration with Kyle Bergman, founder and director of the Architecture and Design Film Festival, guests were able to gain deeper insight into Mandrup's architectural philosophy and her sources of inspiration prior to watching her film later that evening.

After the film, all viewers in attendance had the opportunity to stay for a Q&A moderated by Bergman. We learned about how Mandrup approaches each project as a humanist, focusing on the needs of the inhabitants within the spaces she creates. Letting us in on her beginnings, Mandrup also spoke of some of her early projects in which she was actually designing and planning for interiors and spaces that would be occupied by children.

Following Mandrup's time on stage, co-director Marc-Christoph Wagner spoke about the seven year process of producing and directing this film with Simon Weyhe. Created as a film for the Louisiana Channel, each project focuses exclusively on its subject, in this case, Dorte Mandrup, documenting the artistic process and providing insight into the her creative mind as an Architect.
