Designing for the outdoors requires a balance between resilience and refinement. At SUITE NY, we curate pieces that not only withstand the elements but also bring sophistication to open-air environments. This week we spotlight five exceptional designs, each showcasing innovative materials and thoughtful craftsmanship that redefine outdoor living with elegance and purpose.
CLOVERLEAF SOFA
Verner Panton
Originally designed by Verner Panton in 1969, the Cloverleaf sofa’s modular, serpentine form invites conversation and creativity. Reimagined for outdoor use, it’s crafted from 100% recyclable polyethylene, offering durability without compromising on design. Available in a spectrum of colors, this piece transforms patios and gardens into expressive, functional spaces. Can also be used indoors.
ATMOSFERA DINING TABLE
GUBI
The Atmosfera table combines architectural precision with natural materials. Its solid teak slatted top rests on inverted L-shaped legs, a nod to architectural and maritime designs. Certified sustainable teak ensures longevity, making it a centerpiece for alfresco dining that harmonizes with its surroundings. Available in two sizes.
FRIDA LOUNGE
Vincent Sheppard
From one of the newest additions to the SUITE NY collection, Vincent Sheppard’s Frida Lounge Chair brings a sense of ease to outdoor living. A circular teak frame supports a low-slung seat and backrest woven from tightly-strung rope, offering both support and visual lightness. Its design ensures it stands out individually or complements a group setting, adding a touch of elegance to any terrace. Frida is also available as a dining chair.
CUTTER BENCH
Niels Hvass

The Cutter bench exemplifies Danish design with its clean lines and slatted construction. Its weather-resistant properties make it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Designer Niels Hvass created Cutter as a versatile seating solution that complements many different architectural styles and environments. Available in teak, oak, or black-stained oak.

ALDER SIDE TABLES
Patricia Urquiola
Designed by Patricia Urquiola, the Alder side table showcases innovation through its use of Matek, Mater's patented biodegradable material which combines recycled fibers and plastic waste. This sustainable approach results in a durable, easy-to-maintain surface, available in earthy tones that seamlessly integrate with outdoor settings. The collection also includes a lounge table and stool.
