Rudi Merz’s light lounge chair is comfortable to sit on and very durable, even though the dimensions might look small to one’s eye. The chair's innovative cage-like frame offers a beautiful interplay between solid wood and negative space, and allows the design to develop a relationship with the surrounding space. The master cabinet maker also intended for the chair to provide a sense of coziness, adding plush cushions for increased comfort.
