Boxinbox

Philippe Starck’s Boxinbox made its debut at Salone del Mobile, which features a collection of low tables and storage cases in laminated thermo-welded extralight glass. The collection consists of eight varieties of display cases and storage tables, all available in six lustrous transparent finishes. The collection is inspired by Starck’s fascination with museum displays; taking one glass box with storage function and housing it in a larger glass box, all atop a polished stainless steel base. The final result is a magnificent play on lines, hues, and glass. Regardless of the object, Starck believes that once an item is placed inside a glass box, it instantly transforms into a piece of art.
