Designed as a companion to the Circular Table series, the rectangular plank tables aim to minimize the essentials of a table to its simplest components. The tabletop is beautifully crafted of solid woodplanks. Extreme lightness is achieved by reducing the legs to three simple supports constructed of rectangular sections of solid brass. By linking the supports with a triangular frame for rigidity, the tabletop cantilevers create the illusion of a floating surface. The sculptural simplicity of the table's form as well as the placement of the supports allow the table to function as a one-person desk or as a multi-purpose table for the home or office.
