Zenso
Zenso was originally intended to be named "Ensō," because the collection draws inspiration from the Japanese calligraphic symbol of the same name. Though not a letter, the Ensō is one of the most iconic forms in Japanese calligraphy, representing enlightenment, elegance, the universe, and the void. It captures the essence of Japanese aesthetics as an “expression of the moment.” This symbolic foundation is reflected in Zenso’s design. The expressive solid wood frame cradles two floating circles—one forming the seat, the other the backrest. Both seat and back shells are crafted from moulded wood and can be finished in wood or upholstered for added comfort.
