Bardi Bowl Chair Collection
Designed in 1951 by Italian-Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi, the Bardi Bowl Chair is a semi-spherical seat resting lightly on a metallic ring structure, supported by four legs. Handcrafted by way of standardized and artisanal methods, the Bardi Bowl Chair features a flexible fiberglass and polyurethane shell, topped with gently rounded seat cushions. The chair is wonderfully modern—chic yet playful, it serves as a stunning homage to midcentury design while somehow also feeling incredibly contemporary.
The Bardi Bowl Collection is a limited and numbered edition of 500. Proceeds from each sale will finance the world tour of the exhibition Lina Bo Bardi: Together – a curated show recreating Lina’s spirit and philosophy through popular influences and suggestions - while a portion of the profits will be reinvested in social and cultural programs of the Instituto Lina Bo and PM Bardi.
- Available upholstered in a range of fabrics and leathers
- Each chair includes a unique serial number, marked on the shell and inside both cushions
- Authenticity is guaranteed by a nominal certificate, released by the Instituto Lina Bo e P.M. Bardi and issued at purchase
